Prague will always be to me, at least, the following memories:
- Cobblestone streets and tiled sidewalks, and the impossibly beautiful view from next to the Metronom thingy... which really is a large metronome where there used to be a monument to Stalin. How fitting, no?
- Feeling like we were in a movie, to which then CL said, oh, oh, like when Vince Vaughn fell over the Charles Bridge in Mission Impossible. Uh, you mean Jon Voight?
- Laughs and laughs at Kolkovna, our fave restaurant this side of town, excitement over the fact that we are in freaking Prague, finally! And that first gulp of Czech beer. $2 for 0.5l. Oh Yes.
- Rut Kolinská, an inspiring entrepreneur and all-around beautiful person, saying she just wants Czech citizens to learn how to be take charge of their lives, for they are indeed free, democratic citizens.
- Ham at the center town square + the swirly, slinky-like, sugary pastry that I can't remember the name of but I will track it down for you... because it is yummy.
- Hot chocolate from Au Gormand, rich, warm, delightful cup that kept me walking around in 8C/46F weather.
- And this funky keyboard at the President Hotel, which reminds me I am not home.
